Patricia Avšič won the first prize at the international competition in Brussels

In October she will perform with the Moscow Virtuosos Symphony Orchestra

Young violinist Patricija Avšič won first place and first prize in her category at the Leonid Kogan International Violin Competition in Brussels. For the 13-year-old violinist, this is her third success at international competitions in a short time.



The competition took place at the beginning of the month online.

Violinists from all over the world took part in the Leonid Kogan competition, which took place in four age groups. In the second age group, violinists from South Korea, Finland, Japan, China, Armenia and Poland joined Patricia Avšič, one of the private music schools announced.

In May this year, Patricija Avšič won first place in her age category at the Jankelevič International Violin Competition in Omsk, Russia, and the jury awarded her the Grand Prix of the competition. In December last year, she won first place in her category at the Jeno Hubay International Violin Competition in Hungary.

According to a recent announcement from the Logatec Music School, the honorary president of the Jankelevič International Violin Competition Vladimir Spivakov invited her to perform as a soloist on October 1 with the Moscow Virtuosos Symphony Orchestra on International Music Day in Moscow.
