Challenge Puerto Varas: ALS Athlete Realizes Dream, Enlists Help from Friends and Family

Nicolas Mendoza, 41 years old and highly diagnosed with ALS, participated in the 3K Challenge Family Run.

over two years ago, Nicolas Mendoza, 41, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The disease progressed rapidly and his muscles failed. Thus, a former trail running competitor asked at the end of last year if he wanted to cross the finish line again. His friends and family were on a mission to help him make his dream come true.
