The president of the stock market, Rolando Duarte, assured that the aim was to democratize the stock market in El Salvador and make the registration process accessible to both Salvadorans and expatriates.
This new tool reduces bureaucracy as it runs through the platform. The platform requests data such as dui, proof of address, income for registration.
Eduardo López, business manager of BVES, assured that the new tool will ensure digital security and that the number of accounts is expected to double at some point.
“All of our websites have security certificates that have gone through various processes and are seen and observed in some way by supervisors,” said the business manager.
Furthermore, the stock exchange has indicated that it will soon be possible to invest in a BVES application called ‘Bolsa Móvil’. Lopez has ensured that all products offered on the stock market are supervised.
Financial system superintendent Mario Menendez has indicated that he is with the effort to promote the platform. He noted that its operations comply with all regulations issued by the Central Reserve Bank (BCR).
Duarte said facilitating market access through the platform is only the operational part of the initiative. The stock exchange president doesn’t trust the current way investors are entering the capital markets, but he believes the new project will help issuers increase securitization, securitization and private equity. doing.
“Investment fund portfolios will have a much higher chance of being linked and growing very quickly,” he stressed.
They also predict that credit card payments will be possible by 2023, which has not been allowed, at least until now. “The main product is that clients can self-manage the entire process, and we’re betting on that,” he said.
