The Ljubljana Coliseum is closing its doors as of today, they announced on social networks and their website. The Colosseum operated in Ljubljana’s BTC shopping center for 22 years.
The building was bought at an auction in September last year by a businessman from the seaside Ivo Boscarol. As Finance reported at the time, he told those present at the auction that he would do his best to write a new positive story. In addition to film activities, I would like to establish a social and business center in which various entertainment events would take place.
The Colosseum was sold from the bankruptcy estate of the Kolosej Cinematography company, which he owned Sergej Rachman.
As confirmed in a press release by Boscarol, the director of the company of the same name, which took over the Ljubljana Coliseum complex from the bankruptcy trustee after a successful auction and the finality of the sales contract and the decision on the handover of the property, the Coliseum will be closed for some time due to renovations.
At the same time, as he explained, the current name is also being said goodbye. The complex, the contents of which are expected to be presented in the fall, will come to life under the new name Odiseja. Information regarding the start of operation will also be published in the fall, Boscarol wrote.
