Ministry of Foreign Affairs invested $1.3 million in the first quarter of 2023

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured that the investment of $1.3 million was consolidated during the first quarter of 2023, all through the agency.

Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Alejandra Mira recalled that in 2022, an investment of $45 million was recorded through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a network of national economic ministries.

“In the first quarter of this year we have already invested $1.3 million and I am sure this will grow further because we already signed a contract last week with the Belgian airline ASL and they have Because we are considering opening a direct flight “Belgium”.

Earlier this year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed that $45 million in investment came from diaspora.

The official expects investment levels to be at least $50 million higher by 2023 than in 2022.

Mira recalled that by the end of 2021, since the first ministries were launched, there will already be more than 20 embassies with offices of this kind aimed at promoting investment in El Salvador.

He recalled that some diaspora investments in El Salvador are in the eastern part of the country.
