Bizarrap Music Session #53 with Shakira is an absolute success. With more than 14 million views on Spotify in less than 24 hours, it broke the record for the biggest debut in Spanish music history, according to the said platform.
With more than 33 million views on its release day, the Colombian song is also the top Latin music premiere on YouTube, where it recently reached 100 million streams.
“100 million already on YouTube? They tell me that this is the fastest song in Spanish to achieve this? I need someone to hold me to see if this is true,” Shakira wrote about it on her Instagram account.
Shakira’s collaboration with Argentinian DJ Bizarrap has been surrounded by controversy, as the song is full of obvious references to the singer’s ex-partner Gerard Pique and his girlfriend Clara Chia Marti.
“This is about all the women who taught me that when life throws you bitter lemons, there’s no choice but to make lemonade,” Shakira recently tweeted.
