Buzz Aldrin celebrated his 93rd birthday with a wedding



The retired astronaut has already been married and divorced three times

For his 93rd birthday, the second man to walk on the moon promised eternal loyalty to his longtime partner, Anca Faur, 30 years his junior. “We’re as excited as teenagers who ran away and secretly got married,” Buzz Aldrin shared on social media.

Buzz Aldrin, who was born on January 20, 1930, announced to the world that he celebrated his 93rd birthday in a very special way – he married his “long-term love” Anco Faur. The second man to walk on the moon wrote on the Twitter social network that he and his chosen one, 30 years younger, promised each other eternal fidelity during a small wedding ceremony in Los Angeles.

We’re excited like runaway teenagers and got married secretly,” the retired astronaut, who was born under the name, happily admitted Edwin Eugene Aldrin Jr. and also shared two photos with his followers. While the bride was dressed in a lacy white dress, Aldrin, who is next to Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins participated in the Apollo 11 moon mission in July 1969, wearing a white shirt and black men’s suit. He also decorated this with a special medal and air force badge, the Guardian reports.

American military pilot who retired from NASA in 1971 and continued his career as a pilot commander schools for space exploration and of aviation in California, he has been married three times and separated. In 1954, he married for 20 years with Joan Ann Archerwith whom he has three children – he also has one grandchild and three great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Between 1975 and In 1978 he was married to Beverly Van Zile10 years later he married Lois Driggs Cannonbut the couple went their separate ways in 2012.

Aldrin, who stepped on the moon 20 minutes after Armstrong, is the last survivor of the legendary trio.
