Already on March 22, just a few days before her 75th birthday, the legendary Trudy Lynn will stop in Vienna. As usual, the organizers saved one of the highlights for the last day of the festival, the 31st. in Maywhen Walter Trout’s concert is on the schedule, announced the representative office of the city of Vienna in Ljubljana Eurocompr.
In addition to the already mentioned musicians, Vienna will host many other names of the Austrian and international blues scene, and the festival is not limited to classic blues, but also opens the door to many related genres, such as swing, funk, rock, boogie and jump.
Festival Vienna Blues Spring was first organized in 2005. This year it will be held at four locations in the Austrian capital; Regen-Live, Theater Accent, Mozarthaus Vienna and Haus der Music.
Just like last year, this year’s festival will last a month longer than usual, as the musicians had time off due to the pandemic covid-19 a lot of time to create new music, but due to the consequences of the pandemic, it is increasingly difficult to share it with listeners. Many tours have been cancelled, many clubs have closed their doors, and many event organizers have changed jobs in recent years.
The popular festival is therefore all the more important platform for music enthusiasts and domestic and foreign performers.
