The Maribor police administration has prepared the traditional Štengijada, a charity running competition on one of Maribor’s hills – Kalvarija. This year, the collected funds will be allocated to the Palček Crisis Center for children up to the age of six.
Štengijada takes place in the form of an open championship, in which runners in threes compete in a run up the 455 steps to Kalvarija, which is also a popular spot for recreationists from Maribor and the surrounding area.
The Maribor Police Department announced that every year they allocate the collected funds to different recipients, this year they will donate them to Krizne center Palček, a shelter for short-term all-day treatment of children up to the age of six who find themselves in need.
This year, the project was upgraded by collecting children’s books, which will also be donated center Dwarf. Several police units collected almost 200 books, and they were also helped by the Blue Knights Slovenia I motorcycle club.
Even though this year he considered a good cause more than the result, there was some competitive charge. This year, policemen from Ljubljana celebrated their victory in Maribor – the team of the Ljubljana Cavalry Police Station with a time of 2:52. The teams PP Tolmin and VPŠ (Higher police schools).
