Špela Rozin, an artist with an enviable acting careerSpela Rozin is an actress who can boast of an enviable acting career. According to the number of films in which she appeared, she ranks among the top in the Slovenian space. She created most of her acting career in the 60s of the last century abroad, which adds even more luster to her achievements, we read in the justification.

Rozin is one of the few Slovenian actresses who in her career left a big mark even in the wider Yugoslavian area at the time and collaborated with the biggest filmmakers of that time. She has retained her liveliness, cheerfulness and curiosity as an actor to this day, which is why both younger and older generations of directors still like to engage her in their projects. Her filmmaking is therefore still alive, it is written in the justification of the Ita Rina Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2018, Špela Rozin received the bert award of the Society of Slovenian Directors for Lifetime Achievement.

An actor who erases the divide between film and lifeWhen Boris Cavazza appears on the movie screen or on the television screen, it seems as if the illusion of fiction dissolves. It’s as if he blurs the divide between film and life with his forceful presence. His extraordinary sense of comedy and at the same time the ability to subtly play a complex spectrum of emotions place him at the very top among Slovenian film actors. In all his creations, one can recognize passion and at the same time vulnerability, which is not afraid of the weight of life. That is why his heroes are still alive decades after they were created. And that is why it is not surprising that Boris Cavazza is still a constant star in Slovenian film production.

During the years when he taught dramatic acting at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, he passionately passed on his love of film to his students, the justification states. Boris Cavazza’s contribution to Slovenian and foreign film is so extensive and high-quality that the Association of Slovenian Audiovisual Actors awards him the Ita Rino acting award for lifetime achievement.

In 1986, Cavazza received the Badjur Award for outstanding achievements in the field of film, the Victor in 2012, and the Berta in 2017 for lifetime achievement.

He is not only a top creator, whose oeuvre spans several decades, but literally the driving force of Slovenian contemporary dance, who with persistence and vision managed to pave the way to European stages and at the same time change the way of thinking about private institutions in the field of art.
