Kadinelia in the First Row

Duo Kadinelia they are Eva Seitanidou and Thanasis Zikas. Musical ideas based on Greek folk music, they are began interweaving and researching in 2014. The result of this research is their unique sound image, which they build with vocals, guitar, lyre, special bagpipes from Mesopotamia (tsabouna), also with beatbox and electronics. Their desire is to convey the Greek tradition through the prism of modern musical approaches.

Both are connected to music by a family tradition; Evi grew up listening to family singing, Thanasiswho, among other things, also makes unique instruments, was directed to singing and writing compositions by his father George Zikas. To choose a name Kadinelia they were inspired by a special type of falcon typical of the Cyclades region, which symbolizes freedom.

The duo released their debut album at the end of 2019 Kadinelia; the recording of the second album is already in preparation, which is expected to be released at the end of 2023.

V First of all they are presented two original compositions: Ama Stamatiseis This Myala Sou and Yes Pigads Taurus and two arrangements of Greek folk songs: Korthophone and Mou Pariggeile t Aidons. At the end, we heard another song Tsabouna Medley, where they are combined several folk tunes.
