This is the fifth exhibition “Expressions!” In a series called “Escala” in which Arévalo presents 12 abstract works in mixed media, curated by Victor Ancheta. The exhibition is held in the Rotunda of the City Hall from September 1 to October 16.
“I am delighted with the works included in this exhibition,” says Turner. “The works are really expressive and attractive. I am proud of the firm’s continued support of local artists, allowing them to express themselves. “Having artists express themselves to everyone who enters City Hall is consistent with making Houston a city of the arts,” he concluded.
Darwin moved to Houston from El Salvador and earned a BFA in Painting from the Kansas City Art Institute and has a studio in the East End community.
