
In the Latin American region, Colombian Presidents Gustavo Petro and Naive Bukele are divided on the most appropriate security policy.
José Jaime Uscátegui, head of the Democratic Center of the Colombian House of Representatives (legislative assembly), has invited President Nayib Bukele to Colombia by the end of 2023, RCN Radio reported.
According to Colombian media, Uscategui was visiting El Salvador with his brother, Mayor of Usaquen, Julian Uscategui, and took the opportunity to invite him to the Patriots Summit.
“The invitation, in the Capitol, was made to President Nayib Bukele for the Patriots summit in Bogota on October 2, where they also met with Minister of Justice and Public Security Gustavo Villatoro. To know in detail El Salvador’s territorial management plan,” the lawmaker said.
The Patriot Summit is an event organized by the Centro Democratico party and attended by international politicians.
