Eva Urevc ended her World Cup sprint performances in Val di Fiemme in the quarter-finals. She took 5th place in the difficult second quarter-final group.
Urevc performed in a group with Norwegian women Tiril Udnes Weng and Heidi Wenga German woman Katharina HennigFinko Anne Kyllönen and a Canadian woman Katherine Stewart-Jones. She competed well with her competitors, started the finish sprint in second place, and then her strength returned.
When she realized that even the fourth place, which still brings the possibility of entering the next round of the competition, was slipping out of her hands, she completely gave up and in the end took the 5th place. She was three seconds and four tenths behind the winner Tiril Udnes Weng.
Anja Mandeljc, the second Slovenian, was 42nd (+17.27) among the 44 placed in the qualifications. He will be the only Slovenian among the runners Miha Šimenc.
