Tina Robnik ended the season early due to another serious injury. The 31-year-old dislocated her right knee during training in Kranjska Gora and broke the upper part of her tibia, according to initial examinations.
She was immediately transported to the Clinical Center in Ljubljana. Additional information will be communicated by the ski association in the coming days.
Robnik was already injured last September. When falling during training in Saas Fee hurt her knee and dislocated her shoulder. She returned to the World Cup caravan in January.
Injuries accompanied her before. In March 2018, she injured her left knee, the worst of which was during the official downhill training before the 2011 Junior World Championships in Crans Montana, when she crushed three vertebrae in a severe fall and was then sidelined for a long time.
At this year’s World Championship in Meribel should represent Slovenia in the giant slalom and in the team and individual events parallel matches.
