The main favorites of the test are the Swiss Marco Odermatt and Norwegian Alexander Aamodt Kilde, have not yet won a medal at the world championships. The Swiss ace has won four of six super-G slaloms this World Cup season, including the last two in Cortina d’Ampezzo. In the super giant slalom, they have this season Odermatt and Kilde complete dominance. The Norwegian won the remaining two v Beaver Creek and Wengen.

Pinturault was the fastest in the combined super-giant slalom in which he is Odermatt surprisingly missed one of the gates, Kilde but he was seventh.
There are four Slovenians at the start, who remained unplaced in the combination. Martin Čater with number 25, Miha Hrobat will be wore number 35, Nejc Naraločnik will be started as 37th and Rok Ažnoh, junior downhill world champion, as 40th.
