Slovenian freestyle snowboarder Urška Pribošič was eliminated in the snow park qualifiers at the World Championships in Bakuriani, Georgia. With a score of 29.75, she took 25th place, or surpassed four competitors.
In the qualifiers, the defender of the last two titles received the highest score from New Zealand Zoe Sadowski Synnott with 87.08 points. The closest to the Olympic champions from Beijing were Briton Mia Brookes with 85.36 and Austrian Anna Gasser with 78 points.
32 years old Pribošić received the highest score in the first of two runs, which was still far from enough to qualify for the final of the top twelve. It was necessary to achieve 58.28 points.
Naj Mekinc, who had the 47th result, also stood in the qualifications in the snow park on Friday. The 16 best qualified for today’s final.
Pribošić and Mekinc will also compete in the freestyle jumps (big air) at the weekend, and before that, Tit Štante and Kaja Verdnik will represent Slovenia in the snow chute qualifiers on Wednesday.
