Dallas plays host to Memphis on Sunday night

Luka Dončić ended the match with New Orleans early due to problems with his thigh muscle. The 24-year-old from Ljubljana underwent an MRI, and the results showed that the muscle remained intact, according to ESPN.

The Slovenian star has had problems for some time, and in the last two days he played two games with Dallas. In less than 24 hours, the Mavs swept Utah and lost in New Orleans. In the meeting with the Pelicans, Luka visibly limped, and due to pain, he went to the bench in the third quarter and did not return to the floor.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Texas running back could be back on the field soon. According to information close to the club, he will be able to play as soon as the pain in the muscle subsides. As he added, Dončić will undergo therapy to alleviate the pain, but he will not be out for a long time.

Luka, who averages 33 points per game and is the second-leading scorer in the league, said in New Orleans that the condition of the muscle is not good, and the problems started after Dallas’ game against Phoenix on Sunday. The Mavs’ next test awaits on Sunday night Slovenian time, when they will visit Memphis. Until the end of the regular season, they will play 15 more games, most of them away.
