Are is the last stop for alpine skiers before the final part of the World Cup in Soldeu. In Sweden, the ninth giant slalom of the season is scheduled. Mikaela Shiffrin set the best time on the first track.
Mikaela Shiffrin skied the number seven in her own style. She was the fastest in three of the four sectors, only in the third was Canadian Valerie Grenier slightly better.
