With the longest jump (126.0 m), Ema Klinec reliably qualified for the first individual match for the World Cup in Oslo. At Holmenkollen, she beat Japan’s Yuki Ito by a good six points. All five Slovenian women qualified for Saturday’s match.
Klinec is thus the leader on the Norwegian tour, as today’s qualifications also count for points. Nika Križnar (123.0 meters) and Nika Prevc (120.5 m) also performed, finishing in fifth and sixth place, respectively. Only four tenths of a point separated them. Križnar is defending last year’s overall victory on the tour.
Maja Vtič (106.5 m) and Katra Komar (104 m) also qualified for the competition. Vtič finished in 33rd place, while Komar was two places lower.
Leader in the Eva World Cup Pinkelnig took fourth place. The heroine of the world championship in Planica with three golden ones and one bronze medal Katharina Althaus finished in eighth place with 120 meters.
There were 49 jumpers on the starting list, and 40 of them will compete in the first series. The first women’s test will be held on Saturday at 18:00. It will be broadcast on TV Slovenija 2 and on MMC.
