Halvor Egner Granerud also won his third game in flights this season. The Norwegian was the best at the home race in Vikersund, where the best Slovenian Anže Lanišek was in fifth place.
The 26-year-old champion from Oslo did not win a single race on the aerodromes until this winter, but then he was the best in both tests in Kulm in January, and now he also won at Vikersundbakken. He reached the top step for the 25th time in his career, making him the most successful Norwegian in the World Cup, and on the all-time list he tied with Austrian Andreas Felder in tenth place.
The only one who was competitive this season for the best jumper of the season was Stefan Kraft. The Austrian, who set the world record of 253.5 m here six years ago, was 6.1 points behind. Third place was taken by another Austrian, Daniel Tschofenig. After the first series, he was only tenth, and then in the final with a personal record of 229.5 m, which was also the distance of the second series, he stepped on the podium for the third time in his career.
