Krim Mercator’s handball players lost the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League against Rapid in Bucharest by 30:24 and were thus eliminated from further competition. The women from Ljubljana won the first game with 29:24.
It was the most effective in the Romanian capital for criminal women Aleksandra Rosiak with seven goals, Daria Dmitrieva and Jovanka Radicevic contributed five goals each.
In addition to Rapid, Ferencvaros, Esbjerg and Odense also made it to the eight after additional matches.
The quarter-final pairs are Rapid Bucharest – Vipers Kristiansand, Ferencvaros – Metz, Esbjerg – Bucharest and Odense – Györ. The first matches will be on April 29 and 30, and the return matches on May 6 and 7.
