Tamara Zidanšek, Kaja Juvan and Polona Hercog successfully jumped the first hurdle in the Roland Garros qualifications. In the 2nd round, she will have Kaja Juvan, the most demanding opponent on paper. The main tournament will start on Sunday.
Tamara Zidanšek, currently 110th in the WTA rankings, defeated the Uzbek woman 7:6 (2), 4:6 and 6:2 Nigina Abduraimova (176th), and Kaja Juvan (220th) was better than Switzerland’s Susan 6:4 and 6:4 Bandecchi (351.).
Polona Hercog, who is on the playground returned after a year, after a hard fight and almost three hours, she crushed the resistance of the French woman with 5:7, 6:0 and 7:6 (4) Harmony Tan (231.).
