AD Charatenango is a new team in the second division
AD Chalatenango have voiced their opposition after the first division and the El Salvador Football Federation Regularization Commission (FESFUT). Despite the decision to cancel the Clausura 2023 tournament, imminent relegation to the Second Division is decided.after the tragedy at the Cuscatlan stadium last Saturday.
“We deplore the resolutions issued by the Standards Committee, especially those relating to the cancellation of tournaments and their consequences. My condolences to the family,” he said. The Northern team said in a statement:
The northern team explained its opposition to such a decision in seven pointsBecause, first of all, he points out that we must make a distinction between “tournaments that end irregularly due to interruptions and tournaments that run as normal”.
Chalatenango also admitted that the decision to approve his relegation was “unilateral” on the part of FESFUT, saying: They have signed a “agreement” that does not stipulate discussions on the second division relegation issue.
Faced with this situation, the Northern Team stated that they must comply with Article 61 of the FESFUT Competition Grounds, in which it states: First division leagues must make an “official declaration” declaring the champions, runners-up, standings and relegated teams.
Charatenango highlighted this section by comparing the Clausura 2020 tournament, which declared Huanse Deportivo champions, although the title was later revoked, to the relegation and promotion freeze in the same championship. He also noted that the decision was made at other tournaments as well. Qualify for the First Division or another alternative slot as defined on a competitive basis.
North team at the end He explained that the Part 1 decision was unprecedented and expressed his disagreement with the position.Likewise, the country hopes to amend its position or to be “convened to propose workable solutions to pending disputes.”
