The Arica Bodyboard World Cup ended with victory for experienced French athlete Pierre-Louis Costes.

Despite the fact that the Frenchman was passed by Arica runner Diego Sepulveda twice during the course of the competition to move up to second in the division. Pierre-Louis Costes pulled it all out in his career to keep the date Arika at Bodyboard World Cup .

A three-time Arica Cultura bodyboard champion, he was not only thrilled, he also expressed gratitude and conveyed the elation of the title to the people of Arica.

“I would like to thank Amauri (Laverne, French Champion 2023). For me, the most difficult thing to win this event was to beat him. The winner said he thought it was impossible to become a champion when he thought about it.

“The level of the new generation like McDaniel Tanner and Tristan Roberts is phenomenal. Thank you to everyone who’s been here, we’ll be back next year.” added the Frenchman.

“Being here is a sacrifice to leave my family during the competition,” Pierre-Louis said afterwards. When I arrived and saw the level of competition so high, I thought I should stop. The thought crossed my mind that if I didn’t win today, I wouldn’t be coming back.

Here’s what the podium looked like at the finals of the World Bodyboarding Championships in Arica.
