Former FAS sports manager Manuel Urenda spoke in an interview about the management problems experienced by the Santaneco team.
“The owners are people who love their country and are investors. Salvadoran football does not benefit the economy. That is a lie,” he said.
“Everyone who is interested in Salvadoran football knows that they invest their money and if they do it well, they may make some pesos one day, but for now I only know that there are teams that make money in Salvadoran football. I want that. I know that very well. That’s good,” he added.
Urenda said he hopes more people like Alianza and FAS owners will come to our country and change will happen.
“I hope more Fitos Salumes and Williams Morans come to that country and change happens in this country, but players who don’t know the confidentiality rules continue to lie during their playing days. As long as we keep going, that’s already a lot,” he said.
Manuel Urenda spent time as the sports manager of the Santaneco team during one tournament.
