
Women’s team aims to qualify for the Women’s Gold Cup in 2024 / Emerson del Cid
Women’s selector coach Eric Acuña has announced the 23 players called up for the 2024 Gold Cup qualifiers against Nicaragua and Martinique.
In the list, corps members Brenda Sellen and Daniel Fuentes of Atlas and Necaxa Femenil of Mexico’s Liga MX stand out.
Additionally, forwards Samaria Gomez and Abigail Lopez will also play in El Salvador’s first playoff game.
The list includes players such as Paola Calderon of Costa Rica’s Perez Zeledón, Karen Reyes of Mexico’s Necaxa, and Stepani Zuniga of Queretaro.

The women’s selectors will play against Nicaragua on Wednesday, September 20th, and at home against Martinica at Las Delicias on Sunday, September 24th.
El Salvador won the bronze medal at the 2023 San Salvador Central American and Caribbean Games.
La Selecta is in Group “B” of Liga “B” along with Nicaragua, Honduras and Martinique.
The winners of League B group (3 teams) will advance to the W Gold Cup qualifying round and face the 2nd place team in League A.
