Until the 4th round of the Italian championship, both Milan giants had a hundred percent profit and occupied the top of the table. But in the hot city derby, only Inter really played and beat their neighbors from the other side of the stadium with a score of 5:1.
Henrik Mkhitaryan scored in the 5th minute of the first serious attack by the hosts of the great Milan derby. Before the break, he doubled the lead of the black and blue team with an outstanding goal Marcus Thuram. In the 57th minute, Rafael Leao reduced the score to 1:2 and gave Milan great hope, which only lasted a dozen minutes.
The Armenian in Inter’s jersey struck again in the 69th minute for 3:1, after which the resistance of the red and black team was broken. Hakan Calhanoglu took advantage of the harshest penalty in the 79th minute, and in stoppage time, Davide Frattesi put the finishing touches on an extraordinary 5-1 victory after Mhitarjan’s pass.
An hour and a half of Inter
The Frenchman Thuram was an unstoppable force in attack, breaking through the opponents’ defense, while Inter completely dominated the midfield, and Mhitarjan showed how effective he can be at the age of 34.
5:1 is the highest victory of Inter over Milan in Milan derbies in the last 49 years, or since March 24, 1974, when in Serie A it was also 5:1 for Nerazzurri. In the last half century, Inter won with the same difference of four goals in 2009 under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, when it was 4:0.
Old lady sovereignly eliminated Lazio
In Turin, Juventus maintained their unbeaten streak, this time scoring three goals against Lazio. Two of these were contributed by Dušan Vlahović, who scored in the 10th and 67th minutes, and one by Federico Chiesa, who was successful in the 26th minute. Luis Alberto was the only scorer for the Roman team in the 64th minute.
