Marcelo Arevalo defeated Irishman Osgar Ohuisin in two sets (7-6, 6-1) in the second leg of the Davis Cup World Group II series between El Salvador and Ireland at the Ana Mercedes Stadium Sonsonate. Ta. fields.
“Cello” defeated Ohisin in a fairly dominant game, tying the series 1-1.
The first set was tied at 6-6 and was decided by a tiebreak. In the tiebreak, the Ronald Garros 2022 winner took advantage of the Irishman’s mistake and took the set 7-6.
In the second set, the Salvadoran appeared in “steamroller” mode, winning the set 6-1 in just 28 minutes.
With this win, El Salvador keeps their hopes of winning the series alive with Games 3, 4 and 5 coming this Sunday.
In the first match of the series, Cesar Cruz lost in two sets (1-6, 0-6) against Connor Gannon.
