El Salvador lost 3-1 to Ireland in Davis Cup World Group II at the Ana Mercedes Campos Stadium in Sonsonate this weekend.

Cesar Cruz lost to Connor Gannon in two sets (1-6, 0-6) on Saturday in the series opener. However, in the second match, Marcelo Arevalo defeated Irishman Osgar Ohuisin in two sets (7-6, 6-1).
