The new coach of the women’s football team, Saša Kolman, emphasized the great potential that the team has. He will make his debut on the bench this Friday, when Slovenia starts the competition in the League of Nations B.
Kolman, who replaced Borut Jarac, met his protégés for the first time at today’s training at Brdo pri Kranje. After four days of preparation, the Slovenian women will play against the Czech Republic in Krško on Friday at 4 p.m. In the League of Nations, Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina are also in the group.

His assistant will also be his friend and former national team member Matej Mavrič Rožič, former goalkeeper Mladen Dabanovič, a member of the golden Slovenian generation, will be the coach of the goalkeepers.
A colorful resumeThe 39-year-old Kolman has a varied coaching resume. After his playing career (he played for Tolmin, Gorica, Primorje, Nafta, as well as in the Faroe Islands, namely in the position defender) also worked abroad for 15 years. Before assuming the duties of a selector, he already worked as a head coach in Nova Gorica, and was also the head coach in Australia, where he led the youth and then the team members South Melbourne. In 2019, he took over the duties of head of the football academy of the famous Real Madrid in the United Arab Emirates.
