Spain, Italy and Slovenia have three points each

The Slovenian national team in futsal beat the Czech Republic 2:1 in the second match of the qualification for the World Championship in Maribor. Teo Turk scored the decisive goal at the beginning of the second half.

Slovenia took the lead in the 17th minute through Max Vesel. He equalized in the last minute of the first half Michael Seidler. Both Slovenian goalkeepers showed up Nejc Berzelak and Marko Peček. The latter saved the harshest penalty five minutes before the end, a shot from six meters.

Both national teams lost their first matches in the qualifying group, so a full win was necessary to maintain realistic chances of qualifying for the championship in Uzbekistan. Slovenia showed more until they took a 2:1 lead, and in the last quarter of the match, the guests completely put pressure on the goal of Berzelak, who defended excellently and did not allow himself to be beaten again.

Slovenia took the lead in the 16th minute. With a precise pass, the Turk found Vesel nicely in front of the goal, who without hesitation sent the ball past the goalkeeper under the crossbar.

In the last minute of the first half, there was an equalizer when Michal Seidler took advantage of a mistake by the home team. The Slovenians could have answered quickly, even before going to the break, the frame of the goal was hit Jeremy Bukovec.

Already in the second minute of the resumption, the Czechs returned the gift to their rivals. They too made a bad mistake, which was punished by the Turk and he put his team back in the lead.

Six minutes before the end, the Czechs replaced the goalkeeper with a sixth player, but despite the opportunities, this did not help them with the result. Two of the biggest opportunities were missed by Seidler, who proved himself with technical knowledge, but was not efficient. After an excellent independent breakthrough, Berzelak prevented his joy, and then he was saddened by the reserve goalkeeper Peček, who saved his penalty shot. Denis Totošković hit the post in the last seconds.

The order: Spain, Italy and Slovenia (match more) 3 points each, Czech Republic (match more) 0 points.
