The second domestic racket and ATP World Ranking No. 97 showed solid performances in both the backcourt rally and his serve, accounting for the straight sets of Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka, No. 34 in the world.

The score was 6-4, 6-0 partials after just 1 hour and 4 minutes of play, favoring Arica natives over the 29th seed Japanese in the ‘main draw’.

‘Gago’ successfully made it through two qualifying rounds and won the competition for the fourth time since beating Colombia’s Daniel Galán in his main draw debut.

This time he noticed a more famous player. That’s why he’s excited about one of the most important tournaments on the professional circuit.

Additionally, Garin has not lost a set in this first Masters 1,000 of the Year, adding a cross from the previous phase.
