France suspends sales of iPhone 12 after high-level radiation detection: Is it dangerous?

The data determining the iPhone’s radiation levels was obtained by the French National Frequency Agency (ANFR), which produced the following report: 141 smartphone models were analyzed and only the iPhone 12 exceeded the limit .

“We hope that Apple will immediately take all necessary measures to prevent the iPhone 12 from entering the market. For phones already in use, Apple must take all necessary corrective actions to make phones compliant as soon as possible ; otherwise, the equipment must be removed,” ANFR said, the aforementioned media reported.

What measures will Apple take with iPhone 12?

On Friday, the Minister said that as a result of discussions with Apple, A software update will be applied that resolves the issue as reported on Twitter (X).

“After discussions, and per ANFR’s request, Apple promised to release an update for iPhone 12 within the next few days,” he said.

He further added:ANFR is preparing to quickly test this upgrade, which will ultimately bring the model into compliance with the European standards applicable in France. That way, there will be no need to withdraw from marketing. ”
