Former US Vice President Mike Pence said on Saturday that former President Donald Trump must answer history for his role in the 2021 attack on the Capitol, the country’s press reported.

Some of the thousands who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021 demanded Pence be hanged and were forced to flee in search of safety.
Trump has announced his intention to run for a new president in the 2024 election, suggesting that Pence could contest the Republican nomination.
Gridiron dinners are usually light events with comedy and musical performances, and Pence initially wanted something fun.

But his criticism of Trump came as a surprise to Gala.
