US President Joe Biden claimed that Jimmy Carter asked him to deliver a eulogy after his death.
“He[Carter]asked me to give a condolence. I’m sorry I shouldn’t have said that.” said the president at a fundraiser in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
“After hanging out with Jimmy Carter for a while, we finally caught up. But now that they’ve found a breakthrough, they’ve found a way to sustain it for much longer than expected,” he added. CNN.
The former president, now 98, was diagnosed with cancer in 2015. Four tumors appeared in his brain. Later that year, after starting treatment with a drug called pembrolizumab, he declared himself cancer-free.
