A bomb threat was received at the Slovenian high school in Klagenfurt, so the school with 500 students was evacuated. Police searched the school, but no explosives were found.
A threatening message in Slovenian was discovered in one of the toilets. According to the police spokeswoman, the school was evacuated, and all 500 students were taken to a nearby sports hall, the Austrian news agency APA reports.
According to the online portal 5min.at, the police took the threat seriously and searched the entire school building, including with the help of a helicopter and police dogs.
After about an hour, the police canceled the danger warning, as no dangerous substances were found, and the students were able to go home.
Third school bomb threat in a week
This is the third recent bomb threat to schools in the Austrian Carinthia. A week ago, a similar threat was found in the toilet of the vocational school in Šentvid ob Glina, and two days later in the secondary school complex in Klagenfurt. The buildings of both schools were evacuated and searched, but no explosives or dangerous objects were found.
