Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted an invitation from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to visit the secretive Asian country, North Korea’s state news agency KCNA reported today.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who is visiting Russia, invited him during a dinner attended by both leaders after the summit meeting at the Vostochny Cosmodrome. In the Amur region, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a guided tour of the facilities to the North Korean marshal and his delegation.

After the summit, President Putin said there was little scope for bilateral military and space cooperation at a time when Western countries were threatening to impose new sanctions on the two countries in violation of UN resolutions if they agreed to exchange arms and related technology. I swore there was.

“At the end of the reception“Kim Jong Un respectfully invited President Putin to visit the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (the country’s official name, acronym: DPRK) at a convenient time,” the KCNA memo said.

“President Putin gladly accepted this invitation and reaffirmed his desire to perpetuate the history and tradition of friendship between the Russian Federation and North Korea into the future,” the text added.

President Putin already visited North Korea in 2000 and held a summit meeting with Kim Jong Il, the father of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who died in 2011.

Yesterday, Kim assured the Russian president that relations with his country were now North Korea’s “top priority,” calling the invasion of Ukraine a “holy war,” and saying North Korea had steadfastly supported the Russian operation. Russia is one of the few countries to reaffirm its intention to continue its military operations. Supports “all decisions of President Putin.”

The North Korean leader arrived in Russia on Tuesday amid deep doubts in the West about the two countries’ intentions to strengthen military and space cooperation through arms and technology supply agreements.

According to Western sources, Mr. Kim will be ready to support Moscow’s war effort with “millions” of anti-tank missiles and artillery shells.

In return, North Korea would receive food aid as well as technology to launch satellites and nuclear submarines, which would greatly strengthen the regime’s military capabilities.

Another article in the Korean Central News Agency stated that “Kim Jong-un listened carefully to explanations about the technical characteristics of Soyuz-2, Angara and other types of delivery rockets and their assembly and launch processes.”

Kim is still in Russia and is scheduled to visit an aircraft factory in the Russian city of Komsomolsk on the Amur River, where several Russian fighter jets are manufactured, and a military facility in Vladivostok.
