As every year, the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) has announced that a $1,000 toll will apply to cars and trucks from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September 16.
Next week is a national holiday and thousands of people are planning celebratory trips on Monday, September 18th and Tuesday, September 19th. Similarly, as of Friday, September 15th, the reduction measure, colloquially known as the “Luka toll,” will remain in effect until Saturday, September 16th.
This year, the Government has prepared to provide the best possible coordination between the authorities responsible for the Fiesta Patrias emergency.
According to the measures based on the emergency response plan prepared by the government. Ministry of Public Works (MOP)the toll to Luka will run on the following days and times within the framework of this 18th celebration:

The P1,000 toll will be enforced only at Lo Prado and Zapata on National Highway 68 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16.
Reduced truck tolls
The measure provides a 50% discount on Route 60 and 5 South fares during the early morning hours (00:00-07:00) on September 15th and 16th.
Truck traffic regulations
In this way, MOP will also implement truck traffic restrictions for vehicle departures on National Highway 68, South 5, and North 5 on Friday the 15th and Saturday 16th at the following times:

MOP special measures for national holidays
Friday, September 15th:
Route 5 Southern Section Santiago – Talca:
· Angostura fare is 1,000 pesos in both directions for light vehicles. The measure will apply from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
· 50% discount on Angostura tolls in both directions for trucks with 2 or more axles. This measure applies from 00:00 to 07:00.
· Restrictions on trucks with more than two axles in both directions on Route 5 south from the Carrera de Tango Interchange (km 22) and the Pelequen Interchange (km 121). Southern access to Santiago, between the Vespucio Sur link and the junction with Route 5 (south direction only). This measure will apply from 12pm to 7pm.
Route 68 Santiago – Valparaiso – Viña del Mar
· The toll in Lo Prado and Zapata is 1,000 pesos for light vehicles only towards the coast (west). The measure will apply from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
· 50% discount on Lo Prado and Zapata tolls for trucks with 2 or more axles in the west direction only. This measure applies from 00:00 to 07:00.
· Regulation of trucks with more than two axles in the west direction between Vespucio (km 6.2) and Enlace Algarrobo (km 68). This measure will apply from 12pm to 7pm.
Route 5 North Santiago – Los Viros Section
– Traffic of trucks with two or more axles heading north is restricted between Lo Pinto Interchange (20 km) and Lai Lai Interchange (86.2 km). This measure will apply from 12pm to 7pm.
Saturday, September 16th:
Southern section of Route 5 Santiago – Talca:
