Russian forces carried out an overnight drone attack on the city of Lviv in western Ukraine. Several explosions rang out, the warehouse caught fire, injuring one person. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in a hurry in New York.
The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that Lviv was the target of a drone attack, triggering air defenses. Mayor of Lviv Andrij Sadovji wrote on Telegram that one of the warehouses in the city caught fire. “These were factory warehouses, there was nothing military in them,” said the governor of the region Maksim Kozicki.
Lviv, which lies near the border with Poland, is considered one of the safest in the country, but it has also been the target of shelling. Air strikes in August killed three people in the city.
In total, the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 27 out of 30 drones during the night, they added in Kyiv.

Meanwhile, Zelenski arrived in New York, where he will address the United Nations General Assembly. Earlier, he visited a hospital on Staten Island where Ukrainian soldiers who had their organs amputated are being treated. This is probably not a question for me, but for all members of the United Nations,” he said.
Zelenski also has a meeting with the Brazilian president in New York Inacio Lulo da Silvaand on Thursday he will be hosted at the White House Joe Biden.
