Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy called for solidarity at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, saying Russia was committing “genocide” by kidnapping children.

“Russian children are taught to hate Ukraine, all family ties are broken, and this is clearly genocide,” Zelenskiy said.

Zelenskiy gave a speech wearing olive green, as he has always done since the start of the war, and renewed his call for a summit of like-minded countries.

“We are preparing a world summit for peace. We call on all of you, who do not tolerate any aggression, to jointly prepare for the summit,” said the President of Ukraine, speaking in person for the first time at this UN forum. I speak English.

President Zelenskiy also said that Russia, a permanent member of the Security Council, would not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.

“Terrorists have no right to own nuclear weapons,” he said.

He also accused Russian President Vladimir Putin’s government of using both energy and food as “weapons” to put pressure on the world.

“The invaders are using many other things as weapons, and they are using them not only against our country, but against yours as well,” he said. .
