The main reason many Salvadorans do not celebrate this February 14th is the high price of products and the pre-set spending of each household.

Through a poll on Twitter, we asked the community, “Would you like to celebrate Love and Friendship Day this February 14th?” More than 60% of those who participated in the consultation said that the main reason for not celebrating was lack of money.

An important factor to evaluate during Valentine’s Day celebrations is that products and businesses often use the season to raise prices for their services. This has a huge impact on the economy of Salvadorans, which in turn limits their investment potential to celebrate the day.

Another common response we got was around a lack of partners (over 23%) of those who gave their opinion that they didn’t celebrate Valentine’s Day by not having a ‘better half’. thinking about. Only symbols of love between sentimental couples.

To a lesser extent, he said, lack of time and lack of friends are among the few reasons he doesn’t celebrate February 14th.

These data were obtained through a survey we conducted on our Twitter account, reaching over 3,500 users, 330 of whom shared their responses.
