One of the most influential Slovenian bands, Laibach, announced another spectacle after their epic performance at the opening of the World Nordic Championships in Planica. Namely, the group will return Eurovision to Ukraine with a performance at the end of March in Kyiv.
“While the rest of Europe celebrates its idea of freedom and solidarity on the 9th of May in Liverpool, the Laibach group will return Eurovision to Ukraine, where it belongs and where the only and true vision of Europe is currently taking place,” they wrote on Twitter, and named their performance Eurovision accordingly.
The Slovenian band will thus become one of the first foreign groups to perform in a country that has been torn apart by war for more than a year. They announced that, in addition to their biggest hits, they will also play their latest song in the Bel Etage concert hall The Engine of Survival, which is still waiting for an official release.
