Opus 503 will be presented this Saturday at the Francisco Gavdia National Theater in San Miguel at 6:30 pm.
With the arrival of the month of September, Opus 503 presents the latest musical theme: “Corazón de indigo”, written by the composer Mario Ancalmo, which aims to praise and honor one of the defining products of Salvadorans: indigo, a natural dye obtained from the indigo or xiquilite plant.

“Every year we try to share a series of concerts dedicated to our country and this year 2023 cannot be an exception, thanks to the support of the Ancalmo Foundation, we are happy to be able to return to San Miguel. Suchitoto and our fabulous National Theater of San Salvador to share with a family audience and feel together the pride of Salvadorans,” said José Guerrero, who is part of the trio with Mauro Iglesia and Esau Osorio.

The musical premiere will accompany a series of three concerts of the same name, in which the singers will be accompanied by the Maurizio Bonilla Ballet Theater.
This Saturday, September 9, will be the first presentation starting at 18:30 at the National Theater of San Miguel. Tickets are $5 and $10.
The song “Corazón de indigo” will also serve as the inauguration of the V Indigo Festival in the city of Suchitoto, where the trio will perform on Saturday, September 16, at 5:00 PM at the Alejandro Cotto Theater. Admission consists of a voluntary donation for the upkeep of this iconic theater.
The last concert will take place on Sunday, September 17 at 5:00 PM at the National Theater of San Salvador. General admission is $3.00.
