Today, the shortest stage of the cycling race around Slovenia is on the agenda, but it promises a lot of interesting campaigns. The stage will start in Žalec at 11.15, and the finish will be around 15.00 at Celje Castle.
It’s actually a repeat of last year’s second stage, where he showed all his mastery Tadej Pogačarwhen he had already attacked Svetina. The profile of this stage is similar, as the caravan will start the ascent to Svetina via Štor (5.6 km, 7.5 percent of the average slope). After the descent to Celje, there is only a short ascent to Celje Castle. The stage measures a good 144 kilometers.
Pogačar is third in the overall standings, behind the leading teammate in the UAE Emirates Rafalom Majko he is eight seconds behind, he is still in between Domen Novak (Bahrain Victorious), who is six seconds behind the Pole.
