INDES signs a sponsorship agreement with the Primera División / Primera División
The National Institute of Sport (INDES) and the 1st Division have signed a five-year sponsorship deal called ‘Building the Road to the World Cup’.
INDES president Yamil Bukele has pledged to invest $7 million ($1.4 million a year) over five years to strengthen El Salvador’s football and take it to “another level”.
“We plan to invest $1.4 million annually over the next five years to take El Salvadoran football to another level. We believe that with this plan, El Salvador is paving the way to qualify for the next World Cup. ”.
For his part, Pedro Hernández, president of the First Division, has assured that with this sponsorship he is trying to improve the condition of each football player.
“We have asked for this INDES sponsorship to improve the condition of each football player.
According to the data revealed by the president of INDES, different amounts will be invested in the 3rd, 2nd and 1st use categories.
A certain amount will also be allocated to women’s soccer and beach soccer.
During the event, Bukele announced that 12 First Division teams would install lighting in their stadiums to “improve the show”, with Chalatenango, Firpo and Aguila Stadium being the first to intervene.
“The 12-team stadiums will be illuminated to enhance the show for both players and fans.
“The first three stadiums that will be intervened are Chalatenango, Luis Angel Firpo and Club Deportivo Aguila. We have specific funds for the stadiums,” he insisted.
Due to sponsorship, the First Division tournament has been renamed ‘Liga INDES Apertura / Clausura’.
Similarly, the President’s Cup – El Salvador will resume after the 2023 San Salvador Central American and Caribbean Games.
