Fernando “Tuto” de Paul has been a goalkeeper and captain for Universidad de Chile for over five years. For the above reasons, now a member of Coro Coro, he received a loveless reception at the Santa Laura Stadium ahead of the 194 Super Classic, which is valid until day 23 of the 2023 National Championship.
All eyes are on this Saturday’s Super Classic. In the previous hours, the Internet went viral after Fernando de Paul’s loving nothing-receive at the Santa Laura stadium.
It’s worth remembering that “Tuto” is a member of CoroCoro’s official committee. ColoColo, the team he plays for after defending his biggest rival, the University of Chile, for more than five seasons.
Not a loving welcome to Fernando de Paul
This Saturday at 3pm, ColoColo and the University of Chile will host Classic 194 for the 23rd day of the 2023 National Championships.
“Cacique” arrived at Santa Laura Stadium in the Independencia Commune, home of “La U”, about an hour and a half before the start of the match because the National Stadium could not be used.
Once Gustavo Quinteros’ leaders got off the bus, one by one they entered the citadel of the Independencia Commune until it was Fernando de Paul’s turn.
The goalkeeper, who alternates ownership with Brian Cortez, was greeted with graffiti by the University of Chile supporters who called him a ‘traitor’ while holding his breath.
It turned out that ‘Tuto’ arrived at the secular club in 2016 and until 2021 played more than 100 games while defending the ‘blue’ goal and was also the captain.
The goalkeeper, who arrived at Colo Colo after stints at Everton, has drawn the animosity of those who caught him entering the stadium before the Superclassic.
