Ronald “Diablo” Cruz of El Salvador and Jose “Pero” Aguirre of Costa Rica will fight in the ring this Saturday for the Central American super welterweight title in the main event of the NextGenSv card presented by El Salvador Boxing. Association (Asabox), located in the Wizard’s Cradle.

The boxing night will feature seven bouts, including a light flyweight clash between El Salvador’s Susana Gavidia and Nicaragua’s Heidi Fernandez. The fight begins at 7 p.m.

Cruz, the son of Salvadoran parents, wants to show his level of boxing in the ring and leaves on the table a desire to breathe life into professional boxing at the national level.

“I like to talk with my fists and tomorrow I will fight to prove that I am a good professional boxer. I want to revive this sport and represent my mother, who is Salvadoran. I came to El Salvador,” Ronald added.

Meanwhile, the Costa Rican player claimed to know some of the work of the national team and reiterated that although the rivals he faces are very good, he wants to win.

“I’ve seen him fight twice and he’s a good competitor. That’s why we’re here because we both want to show who’s the best. I’m on my country’s national team and , I have represented Costa Rica in Olympic competitions, but today I want to win this title in the professional field, ”said Aguirre.

The card concludes with bouts between eight Salvadoran boxers, all scheduled for four rounds.

The first bout of the national tournament will be between Jorge Hernandez and Mario Garcia for the featherweight title. The second middleweight fight will be against Luis Moran and David “Hurricane” Hernandez.

In the lightweight division, Manuel “El Gladiador” Monroy will take on Otto “Tejon” Flores. And in his final preliminary bout, Alejandro “Olec” Rivera takes on Glen Callejas at junior middleweight.
