According to the fire service in Rovinj, firefighters intervened 21 times, while in Poreč there were ten interventions, mostly due to fallen trees. A fallen tree buried three cars under it in the northern part of Rovinj. According to the estimates of the Croatian news agency Hina, the material damage caused by the storm is high.

In Poreč, the storm hit the city center the most, where trees fell, branches fell, and roofs and stalls were damaged in several places. In the port of Poreč, firefighters rescued a fisherman who was trying to save his boat, reports the portal of the newspaper Glas Istre.

According to the fire chief of the Istrian County, Dino Kozlevac, a total of 30 firefighters with 15 vehicles from the Poreč and Rovinj fire departments participated in the interventions.

As he also added Kozlevac, the most important thing is that no one was injured in the storm. He emphasized that the damage is already being repaired, and the competent intervention services remain on the ground, Hina reports.

The storm also hit Brione during the night, where it caused damage to a ship Razor, which sank, and the vehicle ferry, which was moored in the immediate vicinity, was also damaged. Both vessels owned by the Brioni National Park were moored in the harbor on the island of Veliki Brion, Glas Istre reports.
