New attacks in Omdurmanconflicts in Darfur
On Sunday morning, eyewitnesses for Reuters again reported airstrikes by the Sudanese army in cities Stupid and Bahri, also to the television company, which has been at the center of the fighting since the beginning. In nearby Khartoum, the forces are occasionally shelled.
Clashes broke out again in the cities after a temporary truce Nyala and Get lazy in the province of Darfur. It is reported from the province that almost 30 people were killed in two days.
Fighting broke out five weeks ago over disagreements over the integration of the RSF into the regular Sudanese army. The leaders of the army and paramilitary were the most powerful people in Sudan, which was preparing for the transition to democracy after a military coup in 2019. Many foreign countries closed their embassies and evacuated staff after the fighting began.
